Helping our members to measure whether health plans take into account a doctor or hospital’s performance (known as provider performance) and quality is another key development for Leapfrog. We are currently negotiating with a partner to develop a set of measures of a health plan’s sensitivity to provider performance. Combined in a single score, these measures will produce a Provider Performance Sensitivity Index.  The Provider Performance Sensitivity Index will provide purchasers of health care with a tool to communicate their quality expectations and to assess health plan progress in this area.
