Why did your organization decide to apply to become a Leapfrog Regional Roll-Out Leader? Savannah Business Group applied to become a Leapfrog Regional Roll-Out leader as part of our overall value purchasing principles. As a direct to provider contracting coalition, the integration of a national program with established measurable standards was very desirable.
In your view, what kind of impact has Leapfrog had on your market thus far? Since the implementation of Leapfrog in the Savannah MSA all hospitals have established an ICU hospitalist program and the robustness of the CPOE programs have markedly improved.
Local employers now routinely include participation in Leapfrog as a contract provision.
