Town Hall Calls

Throughout the year, Leapfrog will host Town Hall Calls to provide hospitals and other stakeholders background information about the content of the Leapfrog Hospital Survey. In addition, we often host Town Hall Calls on special topics that we are considering for future versions of the Leapfrog Hospital Survey. You can find information, including presentations and recordings, from all of our Town Hall Calls below. Questions about Town Hall Calls can be directed to our Help Desk.

Medication Reconciliation Technical Assistance Call

Section 8B: Medication Reconciliation is a new measure on the 2017 Leapfrog Hospital Survey, where hospitals provide data on the rate of unintentional medication discrepancies.  Due to the complex and time-intensive data collection process, Leapfrog hosted two Technical Assistance Calls to review the measure specifications and FAQ’s on October 16 and 17, 3:00 pm ET.

The Technical Assistance Call was hosted by Dr. Jeffrey Schnipper from Brigham and Women's Hospital. Dr. Schnipper is the leader of the Multi-Center Medication Reconciliation Quality Improvement Study and the developer of this measure.  The call also featured individuals from hospitals that participated in The MARQUIS Collaborative, who shared their experiences and advice for collecting the data.  There were short Q&A sessions where hospitals asked additional questions and provided feedback on the measure.

Slides and materials from both calls can be found here:
