Founded in 2002, Atlanta-based Georgia Watch is the state’s leading consumer advocacy organization.  Georgia Watch serves as a powerful advocate for Georgians and a trusted resource for the public, the media, legislators, and regulators.  The Georgia Watch mission is to empower and protect Georgia consumers on matters that impact their wallets and quality of life through education, advocacy and policy development. Since its inception, Georgia Watch has worked tirelessly to inform and assist consumers through statewide outreach, including workshops, online presence, and informational resources, as well as a toll-free consumer hotline that enables us to provide one-on-one assistance.  In addition, Georgia Watch gives Georgia consumers a voice in policy development and implementation at various levels of government and in the private sector.

Georgia Watch’s Health Access Program seeks to ensure and expand access to safe, quality, affordable healthcare for all Georgians.  Hospital transparency and accountability has been a focus of the Health Access Program since 2007.  Through this partnership with The Leapfrog Group, Georgia Watch will continue to empower Georgia consumers with hospital safety and quality information that can help them make the best possible decisions about their care.
