The Leapfrog Group Announces 2024 Bruce Bradley Fellows

February 2, 2024

Today The Leapfrog Group announced the 2024 Bruce Bradley Fellowship class. Part of the Judie Burrows Education Institute and named in honor of The Leapfrog Group's first Board Chair, the fellowship supports mid-career professionals taking a proactive role in encouraging employees and their families to pursue higher value health care.

The Fellowship is a year-long education and training program for corporate-health professionals who want to take an active role in steering employees and their families to safer, higher-quality hospitals and health systems.

This year’s fellows have expertise in healthcare consulting, benefits program creation and human capital management. They will participate in a yearlong education and leadership development program designed to help employers and purchasers of health care benefits advance safety and quality.

The 2024 Bruce Bradley Fellows are:

  • Trinette Smalls, Vice President of Member Engagement & Strategic Partnerships, HealthCareTN

  • Tyler Jones, Associate Consultant, Conner Strong & Buckelew

  • Mark Pfleger, Director of Membership and Strategic Partnerships, Midwest Business Group on Health

“We hope this year’s class of fellows will develop a close relationship with Leapfrog as they continue to be advocates on not just a national and regional level but also in their own communities as well,” said Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group. “This is a highly competitive selection process, and these outstanding individuals have proven their determination to pursue transparency and transform healthcare.”

Named in honor of Bruce E. Bradley, former Director of Health Care Strategy and Public Policy for General Motors Health Care and the first chair of The Leapfrog Group Board of Directors,

The fellows will gain expertise in measurement of and advocacy for hospital and ambulatory surgery center quality and safety, as well as effective methods of steerage. After training, fellows will continue on as recognized leaders, facilitating and promoting employers’ selection of safer, higher quality health care facilities and health systems.
