Learn directly from Leapfrog’s Senior Vice President for Health Care Ratings, Missy Danforth, and in-house subject matter experts from the Ratings Team, about key aspects of the Leapfrog Hospital Survey including reporting periods, measure specifications and criteria, data collection and documentation, public reporting, and data use.
Ask questions throughout the virtual training directly to the presenter or to Leapfrog’s in-house subject matter experts via the Zoom Q&A feature. Intended Audience
Professionals from companies that offer products, services, or technology to hospitals participate in the Leapfrog Hospital Survey. If want to be able to offer your clients more expertise, technical support, best practices, and support, this training is for you.
Learning Objectives
On completion of the training and exam, Certified Coaches will:
- Understand and be able to articulate information about the data that Leapfrog collects via the Leapfrog Hospital Survey and how that translates into use in public reporting, pay-for-performance, value-based purchasing strategies, national recognition, benchmarking, and quality improvement.
- Understand and be able to articulate the architecture of the Hospital Survey, including the measures associated with each Section.
- Understand and be able to articulate best practices for data collection and submission.
- Understand and be able to articulate the resources available to hospitals including Leapfrog’s expert Help Desk, scoring algorithms, data collection workbooks, the Survey Binder, and more.
- Understand and articulate data verification and documentation requirements.

Certification Requirements
To receive the Leapfrog Certified Coach’s badge, which can be used in your email signature, on your business card, on LinkedIn, and in promotional and marketing materials, participants must pass the online course exam within 30 days of completing the training. Participants will have one initial and one follow-up opportunity to pass the exam. Failure to pass the follow-up exam will result in a badge not being issued. The Badge is valid for 12 months.
