Safe Indoor Air: Top Experts Offer Advice For Future Pandemics

Leapfrog is bringing together leading air quality and infectious disease experts to discuss engineering guidance for the reduction of infectious aerosol exposure for a webinar on October 11 at 1:00 PM ET. Interventions will be discussed in the context of pandemic events, such as the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as opportunities for providing protective engineering design elements applicable to endemic diseases with infectious aerosol dissemination potential. The 2022 Leapfrog Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner will be held on December 6, 2022 in Washington, D.C. This year's theme, “Right NOW: The Urgency of Patient Safety,” will focus on the crucial need to address and improve patient safety in America’s health care system TODAY. Hundreds of people are dying every day due to preventable medical errors in hospitals and this must change. The meeting will bring together stakeholders from all sides of health care – employers, policymakers, hospital and ASC leaders, patient advocates, and other industry partners – to discuss how we can all take immediate action to prioritize patient safety in American health care.

Patient Experience During the Pandemic: Outpatient Surgical Care

This webinar highlighted Leapfrog's first report in its three-part series: Patient Experience During the Pandemic. The report on Outpatient Surgical Care found more favorable patient experience rating ASCs than hospital outpatient settings, and hinted at pandemic-related patient safety lapses.
