Leapfrog Partners Advisory May 2025 Roundup

May 1, 2025

In 2009, Leapfrog formed the Partners Advisory Committee (PAC), an exclusive group of national and regional health plans, hospital systems and enterprise vendors. These organizations advise Leapfrog on key industry trends and collaborate on a number of partner-driven initiatives.  PAC members, recognizing the importance of Leapfrog’s mission—and the critical need to prioritize patient safety now more than ever—have been hard at work educating the health care community about hidden risks to patients and how facilities can take action to improve safety.

The PAC is off to a busy start

Webinars

The Leapfrog Innovators Webinar series kicked off on March 26 with Glytec’s presentation “Achieving and Sustaining Leapfrog Straight A Hospital Recognition: Insights from an Expert Panel.” Medisolv also conducted a webinar on April 23 on “The Path to Zero Harm: Implementing Hospital Harm eCQMs.” Participants were highly engaged in both webinars and asked insightful questions. You can view these, as well as previous webinars, here.

Workgroup

The Environment of Care (EVS) Workgroup started a LinkedIn page to showcase cutting edge thought leadership with written pieces, video interviews and toolkits. To date, Sodexo, Trinity Guardion and SC Johnson Professional have each submitted articles. The group also meets monthly to discuss emerging issues in the EVS space.

Articles

PAC members are determined to raise awareness for common patient safety issues through articles in the Leapfrog newsletter. We opened 2025 with an article about mattress safety from Trinity Guardion in January. In February, we featured “Glycemic Data:  More Than Just a Number.” Centrak shared a blog post about what you should consider when evaluating hand hygiene compliance systems.

You can learn more about PAC members here. PAC members offer critical support to help Leapfrog achieve its mission of making giant leaps forward to improve patient safety and we are grateful for their support.
