After a successful inaugural session, Leapfrog will continue to host a poster session in partnership with the Johns Hopkins Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality at the 2025 Leapfrog Annual Meeting.
Hospitals and ambulatory surgery centers (ASCs) will share case studies directly tied to meeting Leapfrog’s Hospital Survey, ASC Survey, or Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade Standards on:
- Patient Rights and Ethics (billing ethics, health care equity, informed consent, and never events)
- Surgical Safety and Quality (facility and surgeon volume standards, safe surgery checklist implementation, patient experience)
- Specialty Care (maternity care, pediatric care, critical care)
- Patient Safety (medication safety, NQF Safe Practices, hand hygiene, healthcare-associated infections, nurse staffing and skill mix).
Selection Criteria:
Poster abstracts reviewed by Johns Hopkins Armstrong Institute for Patient Safety and Quality leadership and Leapfrog leadership based on originality, appropriateness, clarity, and impact. The topic had to be related to Leapfrog Standards on its Surveys or Hospital Safety Grade to be considered.
